  • Life in Recovery and Sober Living in Orange County

Transitioning out of residential treatment can be both an exciting and intimidating time. Opportunities for a new, fulfilling life abound, as well as the temptation to return to old destructive behaviors. While new healthy habits and routines are still forming, returning home may not be the best answer. In the early days, the recovering person is still developing the coping strategies necessary to effectively handle the triggers that often arise through returning to the familiar stomping grounds of the home.Choosing to reside in Sober Living is often a key piece in making the transition to autonomous living a successful one. Sober living facilities in Orange County and across the country provide individuals with a safe, structured environment where they can adjust to their new lifestyle and successfully transition back into society.
  • Christ-Based Residential Treatment Program in Newport Beach, CA

Addiction does not discriminate. It has no regard for gender, ethnicity, race, religion, or socioeconomic status. Individuals who are strong in their religious convictions will face the same struggles as those with no religious affiliations. However, faith can be a strong source of support in treatment and recovery. Clients may find that rediscovering or reconnecting with their faith in a Christ-based residential treatment program is the motivation they need to commit to their recovery and live to their fullest potential. Northbound offers a Christian drug and alcohol addiction treatment in Orange County, California for those who want to invite their faith into their recovery efforts and strengthen their relationship with God.

My time at northbound saved my life . When I got to northbound I was completely broken and hopeless. Today I have over 4 years sober , I am a mom to two beautiful children and I WANT to live . Northbound truly saved me - the staff is absolutely incredible . Elizabeth , Joanna along with so many others showed me a new way to live and I can honestly say I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for them ! I absolutely recommend this program .

My Grandson came to Northbound from another facility. There really are no adequate words to express my overwhelming GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION for Northbound and their AWESOME staff and program. He had lost his way, was addicted and feeling hopeless. At Northbound, he was welcomed with the facilities, staff, expertise, groups, support, and direction he needed as well as the caring, love and concern that he desperately needed to get well. He will tell you Northbound saved his life. He recently expressed to me that he truly has never been as content and happy as he is now! He is surrounded by continual support even after completing the program. And most importantly, he now has the tools, support and confidence necessary to navigate the ups and downs of life. When I see my Grandson now I see a very happy, motivated young man, excited about his future and opportunities he never had thought possible before. My prayer would be anyone suffering from the debilitating disease of addi...

Please excuse the long post - I have a lot to say about this amazing place! My son has been sober for more than 4 years and it would not have been possible without the support, dedication and expertise of Northbound. We were from out of state, so putting him on the plane alone, in such a fragile state of mind was terrifying, but I will never forget the call I got from David Gates at the airport saying “I’ve got him”. David was light-hearted and made him feel comfortable right away, even taking him to get a burger. That small gesture was indicative of all the little, yet incredibly important things they did to create a healing and welcoming environment. I burst into tears and felt the most tremendous relief, and I could hear the relief in my son’s voice too. He was in the best hands, and from that point forward, every single staff member we got to know was inspiring, compassionate, loving, and firm when they needed to be. Farah and Garrett were his counselor/program manager dream ...
